To celebrate the release of Super Mario Run and what is essentially a brand new era for the 2D Mario platformer, Nintendo has released a video showcasing the franchise from the Nintendo Entertainment System to iPhone.
The video depicts Mario on the NES, Famicon, GameBoy, Snes, DS, Wii and Wii U. One thing that’s completely evident is just how overused the NEW Super Mario Bros style has become in recent times. Hopefully, we’ll see that trend bucked on the Nintendo Switch.
