It has been revealed that the Nintendo Switch was the best selling piece of video game hardware in the month of April in the US. It managed to sell 280,000 units ahead of both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This is the second month that the Nintendo Switch led the pack, obviously taking out the month of March too.

What’s even more impressive is the fact that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was the top selling video game in April with more than 460,000 physical units sold as well as another 90,000 copies of the game sold digitally. This means that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sold over 550,000 copies in just two days.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was the third highest selling video game of April in the US, which continues a great path of success for this game.

Honestly, the Nintendo Switch has exceeded almost everybody’s expectations, so hopefully Nintendo can keep supporting it with a steady amount of software.
