With little to no fanfare, Microsoft have revealed some of the first gameplay of Recore as well as sneakily confirmed that it will be coming to Windows 10 as well as Xbox One later this year. The game will be part of Xbox’s “Play Anywhere” component, which means that it’ll be playable across both Xbox and PC on Windows 10.

The trailer showcases some of the case of the game and the companions that Joule, the main character, will be fighting alongside. Each of the companions have their own individual uses when it comes to exploration and combat and it will be up to players to utilise them to their best ability.

Mack is the dog companion we saw in early trailers. Seth is a spider like being who is helpful in helping Joule climb. Duncan, on the other hand, is a heavy hitter. They’ll all come together to help Joule in her quest to survive the harsh world of Far Eden.

Recore is releasing September 13 for both Windows 10 PC and Xbox One. Local release dates have yet to be confirmed but should be within the same time period.
