Nintendo’s Treehouse Live event from E3 was light on content other than a big Zelda reveal and some Pokemon news, but a few cool indie games were thrown into the mix.
Jotun: Valhalla Edition will be coming to the Nintendo eShop for Wii U in Summer 2016, so sometime in the coming couple of months for us Aussies. Jotun is a hand-drawn action-exploration game set in Norse mythology that’s gathered some significant praise from earlier releases on other platforms.
Runbow Pocket is coming to the Wii U and the New 3DS via the eShop sometime this year.
16-bit retro-style action-platformer Axiom Verge is coming to the Wii U via the eShop. No word yet on a release date but one that might satisfy the thirst of Metroid fans temporarily.
Lastly, one of my favourite games of the year so far, Severed is coming to both the Wii U and the 3DS this Summer (our Winter), again through the eShop. Definitely keep an eye out for this really clever touch-based dungeon crawler.
