Phil Spencer took to the stage today to confirm that Xbox have opened a brand new studio dedicated to creating new IP and new worlds.
The new studio is called The Initiative and is spearheaded by Darrell Gallagher, who has previously worked at Crystal Dynamics.
Phil also announced that Microsoft Studios are welcoming Playground Games, Undead Labs, Ninja Theory and Compulsion Games to the brand. This means that games produced by these studios will in the future be exclusive to the Xbox brand.
Phil also dropped that Playground Games are working on a new open world project too.
