So, PlayStation’s outing at E3 has come and gone and they delivered what they promised, giving us more in-depth looks at their four big flagship titles while dishing out a few surprises along the way. Be still, our beating hearts for Resident Evil 2.
Without further delay, let’s take a look at Sony’s big announcements and showings at E3.
“Sony’s showing of Spider-Man wasted no time bringing the thunder, literally. Beginning with Electro, the trailer quickly deals out a number of Peter Parker’s infamous rogue gallery. We get a look at Rhino and Scorpion as the friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man fights his way through a prison to thwart a break-out.”
“Hot off the heels of the success of the first game, Team Ninja today announced that they will be following it Nioh up with a sequel, thus far titled Nioh 2. While we don’t know much about the game, the new logo implies there will be a bit more of a demonic theme of some sort.”
“Without a doubt, the biggest mystery surrounding Death Stranding was how the game would play. We’ve had a heap of crazy visuals to go with the game but nothing that really shows us how it would play.”
“Not one to let their game get ignored at any of the events this week, Square Enix dropped yet another Kingdom Hearts III trailer at the Sony E3 2018 Briefing. This time, the trailer showed off some incredibly fast-paced combat within the world of Pirates of the Carribean.”
“Justin Roiland, the creator of Rick & Morty, has revealed a PlayStation VR title he’s been working on. It’s called Trover Saves The Universe and it looks like it shares a lot of style similarities with the hilarious series.”
“Sony today showed off the first footage of the Resident Evil 2 remake as well as confirmed the release date with a brand new trailer today. Capcom have been working on the game for almost three years now, so it’s nice to finally have some visuals and an idea of what the game looks like.”
“One of the surprise announcements of Sony’s conference had to be Remedy’s reveal of their much-anticipated seventh project. It turns out it’s called Control, and honestly, it looks a whole lot like Quantum Break.”
“Following a brief intermission, Sony resumed their showcase for E3 2018 with a very majestic windpipe performance before jumping into the first ever gameplay reveal of Sucker Punch’s brand new game, Ghosts of Tsushima.”
“Destiny 2’s Forsaken expansion, due in September, just got a brand new cinematic trailer during PlayStation’s conference, perhaps signalling that there’ll be more console-exclusive content on the way for Sony’s big black box.”
“After a heartrending performance from Gustavo Santaolalla, Academy Award-winning composer for film and master of the haunting score for The Last of Us, Naughty Dog showed off a pretty great trailer for the upcoming sequel.”
