We’ve Seen Eight More Minutes Of Death Stranding, But Still Have No Idea What’s Going On

Without a doubt the biggest mystery surrounding Death Stranding was how the game would play. We’ve had a heap of crazy visuals to go with the game but nothing that really shows us how it would play. Today, Sony showed off a visually stunning trailer depicting some of the gameplay for the game, which seems to have a great emphasis on either exploration or transportation or…..something.

In the trailer, we see Norman Reedus’ character carrying various objects across various terrains as well as wielding a variety of weapons. I think I even spotted him carrying a body in one of the cuts.

We then cut to Norman Reedus’ character with another female character as they try to stay quiet and evade an invisible creature. It was a bit Jurassic Park, except we still have no idea what’s going on. To make things even stranger, we see a sequence where a character uses a baby powered device to evade the clutches of stringy supernatural ghosts, albeit unsuccessfully.

Look, we’re still not entirely sure what this game is about or how it actually plays, but to see the game actually running and in-engine is more than encouraging.

You can watch the trailer below, and while it’s lengthy, we have no idea what this game is about. Soz.
