Elijah Wood Appears To Show Us More Of Transference, And It’s Still Creepy

Elijah Wood, co-founder of SpectreVision, appeared during Ubisoft’s star-studded conference to show off more of their debut title, Transference. It’s a mind-bending thriller that melds the storytelling of film with traditional gameplay elements.

It’s an unnerving project that involves slipping into someone’s subconscious to play out their memories, solve puzzles and get to the bottom of what happened to a family at the centre of the mystery. Of course, not all is as it seems as the mind becomes corrupted and you’re left in a perilous situation where escape is paramount.

I got to play the game at GamesCom last year, and it wound up being one of my favourites of the show.

It’s expected to release later this year for PlayStation VR alongside other virtual-reality platforms and traditional consoles.
