Vote For Your Most Anticipated Game of 2018

Introducing Press Start’s Most Anticipated Game of the Year Battle Royale.

Over the next two weeks, you can have your say and vote for the game that you’re most excited to play in the 2018 holiday season.

Starting tonight, on Facebook, Twitter, and our Instagram Stories, two games will go head-to-head with your votes securing that your most anticipated go through to the next round. We’ll start off with 16 of the year’s most talked about games (releasing September onwards), before they face-off in Quarter Final and Semi Final clashes.

Eventually, the tournament ends with the penultimate Grand Final where only one game emerges victorious.

In the Grand Final meet:

  • Spider-Man v. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

The Semi-Finals saw the following face-offs:

  • Spider-Man v. Fallout 76
    • Results: Spider-Man wins with 60% of the vote.
  • Super Smash Bros. Ultimate v. Red Dead Redemption 2
    • Results: Smash wins with 53% of the vote.

The Quarter Finals saw the following head-to-heads:

  • Spyro Reignited Trilogy v. Spider-Man
    • Results: Spider-Man wins with 68% of the vote.
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 v. Fallout 76
    • Results: Fallout wins with 77% of the vote.
  • Pokemon: Let’s Go v. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
    • Results: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate wins with 61% of the vote.
  • Red Dead Redemption 2 v. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
    • Results: Red Dead Redemption 2 wins with 79% of the vote.

The Round of 16 saw the following matchups:

  • Spyro Reignited Trilogy v. Shadow of the Tomb Raider
    • Results: Spyro wins with 55% of the vote.
  • Spider-Man v. Hitman 2
    • Results: Spiderman wins with 87% of the vote.
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 v. NBA 2K18
    • Results: Black Ops 4 wins with 68% of the vote.
  • Battlefield V v. Fallout 76
    • Results: Fallout 76 wins with 56% of the vote.
  • FIFA 19 v. Pokemon: Let’s Go
    • Results: Pokemon: Let’s Go wins with 82% of the vote.
  • Super Smash Bros. Ultimate v. Just Cause 4
    • Results: Smash Bros. Ultimate with 76% of the vote.
  • Red Dead Redemption 2 v. Super Mario Party
    • Results: Red Dead Redemption 2 with 70% of the vote.
  • Assassin’s Creed Odyssey v. Forza Horizon 4
    • Results: Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey with 67% of the vote.
