It was bound to happen, but it’s finally been made official. Marvel and Disney will be working together to bring the Guardians of the Galaxy to Disney Infinity 2.0.
The team will be brought to life in the world of Disney Infinity with a play-set, meaning the figurines will be usable in a brand new storyline and missions inspired by the world of the film and the comic books. The reveal follows an accidental WalMart leak where multiple figurines were photographed and revealed by accident by the American retailer.
Similar to the Toy Story playset, Guardians of the Galaxy’s one will see players join the team to defend Knowhere against Ronan The Accuser and his army of Sakaarans. The playset itself, which you’ll need to access the missions, will come with Star-Lord and Gamora. Rocket Raccoon, Drax and Groot will be purchasable separately.
