Throughout the course of The Game Awards, Nintendo and Geoff Keighley had been hinting at a big ending to the show from Nintendo. Boy did they deliver as they revealed the first gameplay footage from the New Legend of Zelda game for Wii U. Aonuma and Miyamoto showed off footage of Link looking over the open-world map as well as riding Epona through the vast grasslands.
Aonuma promised that Legend of Zelda was still on track to be released in 2015.
