The console itself will cost $699 AUD here in Australia, and the bundle with Mario Kart World will retail at $769 AUD and will release on June 5th.

ORIGINAL STORY: Although it wasn’t announced during the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, a press release has revealed the price of the Nintendo Switch 2. The new console will hit retailers June 5th at a recommended price of USD $449.99.
Another bundle is available for the console including Mario Kart World which will retail for USD $499.99.
Doing the conversion to Australian Dollars, that would work out to be a little over AUD $700, a hefty sum indeed. It works out to be nearer AUD $800 with the game included.
It’s a notable increase in price but not unexpected given the current landscape and the significant upgrade in specs.
Games look a little dearer too, with the price of Mario Kart World listed for USD $79.99 which is about the AUD $125 mark we’ve seen for new release PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X games.
