Stardew Valley’s publisher Chucklefish Games have confirmed to Polygon that the game has just reached 1,000,000 copies sold. Stardew Valley is by far the most successful indie game of 2016. The developers are currently trying to bring the game to consoles.
It originally hit the marketplace in March and reached 500,000 sales in its first 2 weeks, largely due to word-of-mouth, as the game did not have a large marketing budget.
