PewDiePie Has Apologised For His Racial Slur

Earlier this week, PewDiePie was back in the headlines for saying a racial slur (several times) on a PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS stream on YouTube.

In a video lasting just over a minute and a half, PewDiePie started off by saying that when he sees other gamers using the same kind of language that he did, he finds it incredibly immature and now that he reflects back on what he said, he does realise it was wrong.

He claim that the it slipped out which is interesting as it happened more than one time, but the apology does seem sincere, and it’s good to see that he now realises that he should have known better and is apologising for it without cracking jokes.

Camposanto (the creator of Firewatch) and several other indie developers reacted negatively to the stream by lodging a DMCA takedown against all of PewDiePie’s Firewatch videos. It doesn’t appear that they’ll back down from this initial stance.
