Amazon Luna

Amazon Luna Is Amazon’s New Game Streaming Service But It’s Not Coming To Australia Yet

Amazon announced their Google Stadia/Xbox Game Pass Cloud Streaming competitor overnight. It’s called Amazon Luna and it’ll allow you to stream games such as Resident Evil 7, Metro Exodus, Control, Watch Dogs Legion, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and many more to your PC and mobile devices.

In America, it’s in early access and will cost $5.99 USD ($8.49 AUD) a month and that’ll allow you to play games at 1080p/60 fps (4K coming soon), stream on two devices and play on PC, Mac, Fire TV and iPhone/iPad. A Ubisoft channel will launch on the service separately, bringing the Ultimate Edition of certain titles that will be playable at up to 4K resolutions.

In terms of internet speeds, Amazon says that you’ll need speeds of 10 Mbps for 1080p streaming and 35 Mbps for 4K streaming. Further to this, Amazon has announced the Luna Controller which looks to look a lot like a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.

Obviously, with Amazon owning Twitch, I can actually see this working out for them. They’ve obviously got a great relationship with a lot of partnerships, and are heavily ingrained in the gaming industry.
