The Meta Quest Gaming Showcase For 2023 Has Been Announced

VR-y exciting.

Meta has announced the date of its next big Meta Quest Gaming Showcase, the third of its kind.

The showcase is still a ways off, airing on June 1st (June 2nd in Aussie timezones) and bringing with it over 40 minutes of content.

Meta says there’ll be a substantial new pre-show full of game updates and debut game trailers before the proper showcase kicks off, and a post-show developer roundtable discussing some of the games that’ll be shown.

As for the main event, while we don’t have any kind of idea as to what titles might feature, it promises the usual new game announcements, first looks at gameplay, updates to games already out and more than likely some other surprises. The main showcase will be hosted by Oculus Studios Executive Producer Ruth Bram at and the whole thing will be streamed on TwitchFacebookYouTube, and in Meta Horizon Worlds.

You’ll be able to catch the show at the below Aussie times:

You can watch a teaser trailer below, which many have pointed out contains a glimpse at something that looks Loki-related, potentially something new for 2019’s VR title, Asgard’s Wrath.

“This is a banner year for VR, and the third annual Meta Quest Gaming Showcase is our biggest celebration of the depth and breadth of content across the Meta Quest Platform yet. We’ll have over 40 minutes of content, including a brand-new pre-show of game updates and debut trailers to help you count down before the Showcase kicks into high gear, as well as a post-show developer roundtable for a deep-dive conversation around some upcoming games. And as in years past, you can expect new game announcements, gameplay first-looks, updates to existing games, and more during the main event.”

There are still some announced but unreleased games left sitting on the table for the Meta Quest as well, including Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas VR and Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable, so hopefully we’ll get to see more of those.
