SEGA And ATLUS Have Announced A Special Broadcast For Tokyo Game Show

More Like a Dragon, please!

SEGA and ATLUS have shared some of their first plans for Tokyo Game Show with a “special broadcast” set to air during the event.

The live stream will take place at midday on Friday, September 22nd (in AEST) and will run for approximately 50 minutes with the companies promising viewers will be able to find out more about the “newest” titles. It’s seemingly going to be a special event episode of SEGA’s monthly SEGA NEW broadcast.

The official website’s description of the live stream reads, “SEGA NEW is a monthly broadcast that is held on the official SEGA YouTube channel. Tune in to the special TGS broadcast on September 21st, 9:00PM AEST to learn all about the newest titles from SEGA and ATLUS!”

Capcom also recently announced a TGS showcase, which will be broadcast at midnight on Thursday, September 21st/Friday September 22nd, which you can learn more about here.

Tokyo Game Show 2023 will be running from September 21st to 24th, and the theme of this year’s event will be “Games in motion, the world in revolution” with the goal to celebrate global growth in video games as well as new technologies and new industries birthed from the gaming sector.

Excitingly, the show is set to once again take up the entirety of the Makuhari Messe’ event halls, accounting for more than 2,000 booths and over 200,000 visitors (up from 140,000 last year).

A virtual reality version of TGS will also run again, over the four days of the physical event and then for another week following, with smartphones included alongside HMDs and PCs in accessing the VR show.

The list of exhibitors for Tokyo Game Show 2023 was recently revealed and includes some exciting names on top of Capcom and SEGA/ATLUS, like Square Enix, Konami and Bandai Namco. You can find out more about those as well as ticketing information if you’re keen to make the trip to Tokyo, here.
