Focus Entertainment and Asobo Studio have revealed that 3 million players have taken on the adventure in last year’s excellent sequel, A Plague Tale: Requiem, sharing a post on X that celebrates the milestone while also hinted at what’s to come. The studio and publisher will once again be partnering for a new project, though it hasn’t been confirmed whether it’ll be another A Plague Tale game or something entirely new.
The message from Focus Entertainment reads, “A heartfelt thank you to the 3 million players who embarked on the haunting journey of A Plague Tale: Requiem! Your support and passion mean everything to us. Seizing this moment, we’re delighted to reveal our renewed collaboration with Asobo Studio for another exciting project!”
A heartfelt thank you to the 3 million players who embarked on the haunting journey of #APlagueTaleRequiem! Your support and passion mean everything to us.
We gave A Plague Tale: Requiem a healthy 8.5/10 in our review, saying “This long awaited follow up to Asobo Studio’s cult hit doesn’t come without grievances, but A Plague Tale: Requiem is a rock-solid adventure that’s grim and gorgeous in equal measure. Smart iteration on established mechanics and pitch-perfect pacing lead the way to a journey across some breathtaking locales that ups the ante in nearly every way by its shocking conclusion.”
