Light No Fire Is A New Game From The No Man’s Sky Creators And It’s Somehow Even More Ambitious

Looks incredible.

Today’s stacked The Game Awards event has brought with it plenty of accolades, updates, first looks and surprise reveals, awarding some of this year’s best and most exciting games and studios while setting up an exciting future to come.

One neat new announcement toward the pointy end of the show was a new title from Hello Games, the folks behind one of the best comeback stories in recent memory, No Man’s Sky. Founder Sean Murray confirmed there’s still more No Man’s Sky to come, but also took the time to reveal an even “more ambitious” project five years in the making.

This time, instead of going for the entire universe, the studio has gone down to the planet-level on a fantasy Earth to create an actual “open world” multiplayer title called Light No Fire, which is somehow sounding even more ambitious than its current game.

Here’s the debut trailer for Light No Fire:

“Light No Fire is a game about adventure, building, survival and exploration together. Set on a fantasy planet the size of Earth, it brings the depth of a role playing game to the freedom of a survival sandbox.”
