Today’s stacked The Game Awards event has brought with it plenty of accolades, updates, first looks and surprise reveals, awarding some of this year’s best and most exciting games and studios while setting up an exciting future to come.
One surprise was the return of the Mana series from Square Enix, with Visions of Mana slated to launch next year on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
The game will feature a fully-3D world with real time combat in an all new adventure poised to please longtime fans of the series, which stretches as far back as 1991, as well as newcomers. It looks positively gorgeous as well.
“I am delighted to finally be able to reveal Visions of Mana, the first mainline instalment to Mana series in over fifteen years,” said Mana Series Producer, Masaru Oyamada, in an accompanying press release. “The development team have been working hard to ensure that Visions of Mana remains faithful to the series that players know and love while also offering fans and newcomers a fresh new experience with an all-new story, characters, and gameplay mechanics. We cannot wait to share more details about the game with you soon.”
