PlayStation Australia Is Giving Away A Sydney Fireworks Experience And PS5 Consoles For A Great Cause

Donate, push the button, play.

PlayStation Australia, Sydney’s Darling Harbour and the Sony Foundation have teamed up for an incredibly-unique and heartwarming competition ahead of this year’s iconic Christmas Fireworks.

Right now, anyone who donates at least $2 to the Sony Foundation Australia’s Children’s Holiday Camp program via this link will go in the draw to win the very prestigious honour of pushing the button on Darling Harbour’s Christmas Fireworks show, as well as walk away with one of the new, slimmer look PlayStation 5 consoles as a bonus. There will be three winners in total to set off the fireworks across three nights, and one lucky family has already had the opportunity, so if you’re in Sydney there’s no reason not to chuck a donation in for a good cause (and if you’re not in Sydney, well, still a great cause to donate to!):

Sony Foundation’s Children’s Holiday Camp Program provides the holiday of a lifetime for children with disability, whilst also providing free overnight respite care to give the parents and carers of the children a much-needed break. Uniquely, campers are provided with 24/7 primary care for four days/three nights by high school and university students who also create fun and new experiences for the children while building lifelong friendships; a Christmas before Christmas.

In 2023:

180 children with disability will enjoy the holiday of a lifetime at one of seven NSW-based Sony Foundation Camps, held in partnership with 13 schools and universities.

370 high school and university students will provide 24/7 care to the children over the three-night / four-day camp, breaking down stigmas around disability and encouraging pathways into the disability sector.

For the children’s families, Sony Foundation Camps provide critical free overnight respite care.
