Hot off of his stint in Fortnite, fabled writer and star of Remedy’s revered horror series, Alan Wake is now headed to Dead by Daylight as a brand-new Survivor on January 30th.
The character in Dead by Daylight will come with original voice lines and screams, with voice actor Matthew Porretta reprising his role for this new appearance, and of course Wake’s character model remains based on his physical actor, Ilkka Villi.
“We are thrilled to bring Alan Wake, our tortured writer, into the acclaimed Dead by Daylight. We feel the lore of our two horror experiences is a match made in the Dark Place and can’t wait to experience the horrors that await him in the Fog,” said Remedy’s Creative Director Sam Lake in an official post announcing the news.
Alan Wake’s Perks in-game will include Champion of Light, which gives him additional movement speed while shining a flashlight as well as the ability to hinder a Killer by blinding them, Boon: Illumination which allows him to create Boon Totems and Deadline which ups the frequency of skill checks when Alan is injured and halves the penalties for missing one.
