As part of the ongoing celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game, Konami recently held a “Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters: The Legend of Duelist QUARTER CENTURY” special event in Tokyo, where it revealed the upcoming Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection.
Slated for launch on both the Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam, the Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection will feature some of the earliest Yu-Gi-Oh! games ever released, including some that weren’t previously released outside of Japan.
The livestream where the announcement happen has already revealed two of the games to be feature, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 4: Battle of Great Duelists for the Game Boy Colour, and Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 6 Expert 2 for the Game Boy Advance. Konami says it’ll continue to reveal more details around the collection over time, so we’ll be sure to keep an eye out for more.
Konami also unveiled some other new initiatives during the event, include experiments in Yu-Gi-Oh! VR experiences as well as an in-development AI that can play against human opponents in Yu-Gi-Oh! MASTER DUEL and learn from them.
