More The Last Of Us Season 2 Cast Have Been Revealed

The WLF is here.

It’s been a hot minute since we heard anything from HBO’s The Last of Us as its second season continues production, but now following earlier news of the casting of Abby, Dina and Jesse we’ve got more casting reports for characters out of The Last of Us Part II.

Variety reports that four more new cast members have been added and will take on the roles of Manny, Mel, Nora and Owen – who fans of the game will know from Abby’s time in the WLF and through much of Part II.

According to the outlet, Manny will be played by Danny Ramirez (Top Gun: Maverick, Silo), who’s described in the show as “a loyal soldier whose sunny outlook belies the pain of old wounds and a fear that he will fail his friends when they need him most.”

Ariela Barer (Marvel’s Runaways, How to Blow Up a Pipeline) will play Mel, “a young doctor whose commitment to saving lives is challenged by the realities of war and tribalism.”

Nora, “a military medic struggling to come to terms with the sins of her past,” will be played by Tati Gabrielle (Uncharted, The 100) and finally and Spencer Lord (Riverdale, The Good Doctor) has been cast as Owen, who the show calls, “a gentle soul trapped in a warrior’s body, condemned to fight an enemy he refuses to hate.”

I’m sure I’m not alone in finding some of those character descriptions a bit odd with knowledge of the characters from the games, but hopefully all of that will make some sort of sense once the new season begins to roll out.

The second season of HBO’s The Last of Us entered production earlier this year, with the season premiere officially pegged for a 2025 release at this stage.
