Dragon's Dogma II 2 Review - A Griffon Battles The Party

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Is Already Posting Record-Breaking Player Counts On PC

Bigger than a Griffin!

Having only just launched, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is already lighting up the charts, recording 177,000 concurrent players and climbing on Steam (according to SteamDB) at the time of writing, for a spot in the Top 10 of the past 24 hours.

As highlighted by @Wario64 on X, that number gives it the record for the highest concurrent Steam player count in a Capcom single-player game, above even Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Village.

It’s a great start for the long-awaited sequel to fairly niche game from 12 years go, one that strives to deliver on all of the promise of its predecessor.

We gave Dragon’s Dogma 2 a huge 9/10 in our review, with James saying, “Dragon’s Dogma II embodies the essence of what the original should have been. With its expansive open world teeming with dangerous but delightful encounters, enjoyable combat, and versatile vocations, it’s an enchanting experience from beginning to end.”
