Bethesda Has Given A Very Small Update On The Elder Scrolls 6

I'll take it.

Although we only just got Starfield, Bethesda Game Studios’ first brand-new IP in yonks, last year, fans of its existing properties are still patiently waiting to learn more about the next entry in the iconic The Elder Scrolls series. As part of a message in celebration of the series’ 30th anniversary, Bethesda has given a very small update on development, hinting that early playable builds now exist and that things are starting to take shape.

“Last but not least, yes, we are in development the next chapter – The Elder Scrolls VI. Even now, returning to Tamriel and playing early builds has us filled with the same joy, excitement, and promise of adventure,” part of the message reads.

Mid-last year, Phil Spencer had tempered fans’ hunger for The Elder Scrolls VI by assuring that the game is still many years out from release, saying, “With Elder Scrolls VI, it’s so far out–it’s hard to understand what platforms it will even be at this point. It’s the same team that’s finishing Starfield, which comes out this September. So we’re talking about a game that’s like five-plus years away.”

“It’s in development, but it’s in early development,” Pete Hines told Vandal in an interview a few months later.
