The Joker Is Coming To MultiVersus And He’s Voiced By Mark Hamill

Get a load of him.

The Joker is officially joining the roster of WB Games’ free-to-play platform fighter, MultiVersus, which is set to have its proper launch very soon on May 28th.

Better yet, this game’s take on the character will see the iconic Mark Hamill reprise his role as seen/heard in the Batman: Arkham games, multiple animated series and more. It’ll be a bittersweet reunion for Hamill’s Joker and the late Kevin Conroy’s Batman, who also appears in MultiVersus, making it likely the final time we’ll hear both actors together as their respective characters.

The reveal trailer, which you can see below, features Batman walking past the defeated Bugs Bunny, Shaggy and Arya Stark (where else would you see this, am I right??) and approaching The Joker himself, whose instantly-recognisable voice makes for a very exciting introduction:

Alongside the official reveal, new screenshots and video clips showing The Joker in the game have also appeared, showing more of the characters animations, voice lines and actual gameplay:

MultiVersus is officially coming back on May 28th and it’s bringing some pretty big improvements along with it when it launches in full for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Steam.

“The team has heard your feedback, and we’ve learned a lot from the open beta,” the game’s director, Tony Huynh said recently as WB Games revealed what the team has been working on since the game’s open beta shut down mid last year.

For starters, more characters and iconic environments are on the way, with early teasers showing off concept art of The City of Townsville and Dexter’s Laboratory, and of course now the announcement of The Joker. The game has also hopped engines to Unreal Engine 5 for improved visuals and character lighting, new netcode has been implemented to provide a “world class” online experience, there are new attacks and mechanics for each character, and there’ll also be a brand-new PvE mode with unique rewards for players to earn.
