The Top 10 Games In Australia And New Zealand

Here's what's charting!

What games have Aussie and New Zealand players been picking up most in recent weeks? That’s the question we’re answering every week with thanks to the weekly Top 10 ANZ Games Charts from the folks over at the Interactive Games & Entertainment Association (IGEA).

The latest report, which comes from the week ending July 21st, 2024, shows some pretty significant from previous lists, including a brand-new crowned winner in both regions in EA Sports College Football 25 – proving that even when the game has very little relevance to the general population here, a big-budget sports title is a big-budget sports title and there is absolutely a huge crowd out there that will buy this and no more than two other games all year, ever year.

The only other new entrant in the latest Top 10 game sales leaderboard is Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition, which has managed a very admirable 7th spot in the Aussie charts. Given the somewhat niche appeal to those looking for 80s nostalgia and speedrunning, I’d say it’s done well to poll where it has (and is well worth checking out for the right crowd, as I found in my review). Elsewhere, you’ll see most of the same titles that end up here week-on-week, with EA’s efforts taking up three of the ten slots over in NZ, including the return of It Takes Two.

Take a look at the full, updated Top 10 list from both countries below:
