Cult Of The Lamb’s Massive Unholy Alliance Update Is Here And Brings Co-Op To The Game

Nothing bleats a good team up.

The exciting new Unholy Alliance Update for Massive Monster’s smash hit, Cult of the Lamb, is here, finally bringing full co-operative play to the game via the brand-new Goat ally.

The new co-op feature not only allows players to exist together in-game as the newly-formed Lamb and Goat duo, but puts new spins on existing features in the game, including minigames fishing and knucklebones. When out adventuring, new relics also add new twists to combat that play on the unique advantages of a team-up, along with new co-op focused tarot cards.

The Unholy Alliance Update also adds new quests, new buildings including a nursery and interesting new follower traits that’ll make your cultists into night owls, making them a wellspring of positivity, or just making them disturbed by the horrors around them.

To celebrate the launch, the base Cult of the Lamb game is also discounted on most digital storefronts, so now is a great time to get into it! Also launching alongside the free update is a new paid DLC, dubbed the Pilgrim Pack.

The DLC is a collaboration between MM and Carles Dalmau, and features an all-new, interactive digital comic for players to experience along with new in-game content like Follower quests and forms, outfits and decorations. It costs $13.45 on console or $10.49 on PC.

Brodie gave Cult of the Lamb a very healthy 8/10 in his original review, saying, “Cult of the Lamb is sure to be a homegrown success on the back of its tremendous presentation, which is helped along by captivating notions of cultism and devotion. I just wish there was more of an accord between the game’s working parts, which ultimately feels like a game of two individually brilliant halves.”

The game has had a number of major, free updates since, adding things like deepened combat, new modes, new systems and facilities, childbirth and now, of course – co-op!
