The Kingdom Hearts community has been sent into a world of chaos overnight, as the supposed opening cinematic (or it could even be the game’s trailer) for the recently cancelled mobile game, Missing Link, was leaked. There had been rumours that such a piece of content was floating around, with initial stills and clips from the trailer beginning to circulate – however most believed it to be an AI fan made hoax.
From viewing the cinematic, it seems highly likely that it is indeed real – and in true Kingdom Hearts fashion, this mobile installation of the franchise had some pretty key and important ties to what we are slowly seeing revealed for Kingdom Hearts 4. You can view the trailer below:
Considering the characters showcased and little taste of the story, I can’t see a world where we don’t get some form of content from Missing Link in the upcoming KH Collection – as they’ve done in the past with adding story cinematics and recaps into collections. The upcoming D23 panel may shed some more light on this whole situation, but I guess we’ll just wait and see.
