You Can Download Nintendo Switch Updates Off Other Gamers Locally

This is one of the cooler little User Interface tidbits that we come across in our last week of using the Nintendo Switch.

For games at least, it appears that you’re able to download Software Updates from other gamers. Imagine that you’re trying to play Splatoon 2 with a friend at a remote location with no internet and your friend has a different version of the game than you.

Well, no worries with this brilliant new feature that allows you to update games via the internet or via Local Users.

This is not yet available to use and it’s unclear whether it till be included in the Day One update or one further down the track.

It’s also unclear whether this is just specific to game updates or whether you’ll be able to download actual firmware updates from your frieds too.
