This Breath of the Wild NPC Could Be A Heartwarming Tribute To Former President Iwata

Former Nintendo President, Satoru Iwata was one of the most-loved people in the gaming industry before passing away in 2015.

The Zelda: Breath of the Wild development team have spoken about how much they missed Iwata during the development period mentioning that they’d often want to show him a mechanic or character in the game before remembering that he had sadly passed away.

Now, it’s quite possible that an NPC in the game is a slight nod to the former president. A character called Botrick more than resembles him. The character is particularly serene in his personality and is a generous trader in the game.

He directs you to Satori Mountain and talks of a Lord of the Mountain. The actual spot is quite beautiful.

Whilst it’s not 100% certain, it’s more than likely that this was a gentle nod to the late President.
