As part of an in depth look at Super Mario Odyssey this morning in the latest Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announced the highly anticipated Switch title will be getting its own in game photo capture feature, in Snapshot Mode.
It’s part of a greater trend in the games industry, which has seen titles such as the Uncharted series, Hellblade and The Last of Us have photo modes, allowing players to stop the game at any point to take a quick snap.
Included in Mario Odyssey’s photo mode will be the standard features expected to rotate, zoom, crop and add filters to your pictures.

Super Mario Odyssey launches on the Nintendo Switch on the 27th of October, along with its own Switch bundle announced this morning in the Direct too.
