A week after Nintendo released the massive 4.0.0 update for Nintendo Switch, they’ve followed up with 4.0.1.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like 4.0.1 brings any major new functionality. IT appears to fits a HDMI specification that was causing issues with some TV models.
Hopefully we get an update in the near future that allows us to video record Super Mario Odyssey. I thought that that would be included in this update for sure.
Improvements Included in Version 4.0.1 (Distributed 10/25/2017)
- General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience, including:
- Changed the HDMI connection process specification to match that of version 3.0.2 to address video and sound output issues with some TV models.
