Nintendo President Reggie Fils-Aime Is Retiring To Make Way For Bowser

Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime took to Nintendo’s Twitter account to post an emotional two minute message announcing his retirement. As of April 15th, he will be replaced by Doug Bowser, who is currently Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Reggie’s two minute video thanked Nintendo fans for all of the highlights of his career, with the montage showing some of his most iconic moments on the E3 stage. He ended it by saying that he will always remain a Nintendo fan and that his body will remain ready.

It’s definitely a sad time in our industry. Reggie has been a massive personality over the last 15 years, and stuck with Nintendo and always been that shining light even through the tougher Wii U years. He leaves a great legacy and will always be remembered for his huge personality and what he has done for this great company.
