A New Nintendo Switch Model With A Way Better Battery Was Just Announced

Exactly one week after announcing the Nintendo Line, Nintendo has now revealed that a new Nintendo Switch model is coming later this year. As far as we can tell, the Switch will release in August in Japan. Other territories haven’t been confirmed yet.

This new Nintendo Switch model will get 4.5-9 hours of battery life. This is almost double that of the original Nintendo Switch For example, you’ll get 5.5 hours playing The Legend of Zelda. This compares to 2.5-6.5 hours with the current Nintendo Switch (three hours whilst playing The Legend of Zelda) Comparatively, the Switch Lite will get 3-7 hours of battery life (four hours whilst playing Zelda)
