Nintendo launched the “Inside the House of Indies” Holiday Event this week, where it showcased new updates and announcements on a range of indie titles over five days.
Each day brought a new video feature on YouTube and a blog post on the official Nintendo website, with today’s fifth and final episode showing off four more titles including the highly anticipated follow-up to Golf Story, Sports Story.
For its closing chapter, the House of Indies event is giving us just one new game launch, but it’s an exciting one. Yes, Sports Story is out today! The sequel to the smash hit golfing RPG, Golf Story, expands with even more sports (including some of the extreme variety!) and even more Story. As far as future launches, the other three games encompass a good variety of stylish, roguelite shooters, RPGs and moody zombie survival games. Check them all out:

Sport Story: In this all-out sporting RPG, you’ll rise through the ranks of the sports world and prove your prowess on the golf course, tennis court and football pitch. By raising your sporting rank you’ll unlock even more disciplines, including BMX, volleyball, cricket and more. But the game isn’t just about sports – hop on a train or helicopter to explore dungeons, abandoned ruins and the mysterious Wildlands, or kick back at the mall with its daily attractions, specialty sports stores and minigames.

Sea of Stars: This prequel to The Messenger tells the story of two Children of the Solstice – a Lunar Monk and a Solar Blade Dancer. Fans of classic RPGs with modernized elements will want to check out this game’s moving story filled with twists and turns, its fluid and engaging turn-based combat and its freely traversable world. Sea of Stars launches on Nintendo Switch Summer 2023.
