The Pokémon Company has announced a new Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) Scarlet & Violet expansion set due to launch later this year that’s going to be especially exciting for old-school fans and Pokémon TCG collectors.
The Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet — 151 set is a nostalgic throwback to the original 151, first-generation Pokémon, with over 160 new cards in total representing the complete catalogue of Kanto creatures in Pokédex order. The set will officially launch starting on September 22nd, 2023.
The Pokemon Company has detailed the set on its website, revealing that it’ll feature:
- Over 160 cards
- 12 new Pokémon ex
- All 151 Pokémon originally discovered in the Kanto region—in Pokédex order
- More than 10 Trainer cards
- Illustrations featuring a single artist capturing an entire Evolution chain
