Update: It looks as though the release date for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 may have leaked ahead of GameMill Entertainment making an official announcement. Multiple global retailers have been reported as listing the game with an October 24th release date, including Best Buy in the US as well as Amazon UK, where the listing remains unchanged:
IGN has exclusively revealed that a sequel to the 2021 licensed platform fighter, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, is currently in development at Ludosity and Fair Play Labs through publisher GameMill Entertainment.
Aptly dubbed Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, the game is set to release on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC at an unannounced date.
The original game launched to middling reviews, but saw some pretty consistent updates and improvements including the much-requested addition of voice acting for its roster of recognisable characters, something that was sorely missing at launch.
The sequel promises “New characters, new stages, improved graphics, and more” including voice acting from day one and crossplay. The game’s single player campaign will reportedly have players attempt to stop Danny Phantom antagonist Vlad Plasmius from taking over the Nickelodeon universe.
