Nintendo Australia has revealed it’s giving players across Australia and New Zealand the chance to compete for ultimate glory in the Splatoon 3 AU/NZ Championship 2023 and the Mario Kart AU/NZ Championship 2023, both of which will end in an explosive finale at this year’s PAX Aus in October.
Beginning this month, a series of open, online qualifying events will start taking place across both titles to determine the top Splatoon 3 teams and top Mario Kart 8 Deluxe players who will then compete at PAX Australia on Sunday, October 8th at the Live Grand Final.
For Splatoon 3, registered teams will compete in Turf War and Anarchy Battle modes, starting with an elimination bracket in Turf War and followed by quarter finals and semi finals in both modes. In Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, racers will go head-t0-head in 150cc races with standard items across numerous courses, competing for points and crowning the two top racers per qualifier for a total of 12 to compete at the Live Grand Final.
