Rayman Finally Makes His Return In Mario + Rabbids Sparks Of Hope Today

The Legend returns!

Ubisoft has been teasing its upcoming third and final expansion for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, which stars longstanding Ubi hero Rayman, for a while now but it’s finally time – the limbless hero makes his triumphant return today.

Titled Rayman in the Phantom Show, the DLC expansion is finally here and puts players in control of Rayman, Rabbid Peach and Rabbid Mario in a standalone adventure through an uncanncy TV studio run by the Space Opera Network and a familiar face from the original Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle – the Phantom.

The battles in this new expansion feature a heap of new tactical opportunities with increased verticality and Rayman’s unique abilities, and Ubisoft has brought both David Gasman on to reprises his role as the titular hero as well as Rayman composer Christophe Heral to work alongside Grant Kirkhope on expansion’s OST.

The expansion will run you $22.95 AUD for individual purchase, or you’ll be able to get it as part of the game’s Season Pass or Gold Edition.

Check out the most recent trailer for the Rayman in the Phantom Show DLC below:

“Rayman is back! And he is the special guest in a new mysterious dimension: the Phantom’s Opera network studio. The Phantom, the charismatic ghostly boss of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, is also coming back and asking for help to improve his channel’s ratings.”

We gave the base game release of Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope a huge 9/10 in our review when it launched exclusively on Switch in October last year, saying “While Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is a markedly different game than Kingdom Battle, it’s a more than worthy sequel that successfully steps into its own space within the realm of turn-based strategy. It’s undoubtedly one of the best games on the Switch, and one of the best showings from Ubisoft in recent years.”
