This morning saw the arrival of a brand-new Pokémon Presents showcase, giving fans an update on a number of Pokémon projects from the current mainline entries to Pokémon GO, Pokémon Sleep, Masters EX and some exciting surprises.
One of the two new game announcements came by way of Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, an app that simulates opening packets of Pokémon cards and collecting them and trading with friends as well as offers a “streamlined” version of playing the actual TCG.
The game will also different virtual card treatments including “Immersive” cards unique to the app that let players see even more of the worlds within the card art, and while the exact mechanics of buying packs in-app wasn’t made clear, we do know that users will get two free packs to open every day.
Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket is coming to iOS and Android at some point in 2024, and you can watch the reveal trailer below:
