Although it technically ran well into March 11th locally, Nintendo recently dropped a load of new announcements in celebration of March 10’s “Mar10 Day,” including release dates for some anticipated upcoming games, new LEGO sets, classic games and even some more on the next big Super Mario Bros. feature film.

The Next Movie In The Mario Universe Is Coming In 2026
Although we already had a pretty good idea that another Super Mario Bros. movie was on the way, we now have confirmation that it’s happening and will be releasing on April 3rd, 2026 in the US.
The film is once again coming from Illumination, and this time it’s been announced that Nintendo and Illumination staff are working hand-in-hand to produce the movie.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door And Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD Have Release Dates
The re-release of the GameCube’s beloved entry in the Paper Mario series will be launching on May 23rd, 2024, while the HD remaster of the 3DS’ Luigi’s Mansion 2 will be headed to Switch on June 27th, 2024.
Both games are available to pre-order digitally on the Nintendo Switch eShop, and Luigi’s Mansion 2 is available to pre-order at local retailers with all of the prices and other info available right here.
More Classic Mario Game Boy Games Are Available Now
Three more Mario games for the Game Boy are out now on Nintendo Switch Online for anyone with a subscription to download and play. Those three games are the pill-popping puzzle classic, Dr Mario, the club-swinging outing of Mario Golf and the racket-based action of Mario Tennis.

LEGO Mario Kart Is Coming In 2025
Multiple new LEGO Super Mario sets have been announced – including the tease of Mario Kart sets that are slated to launch next year.
Aside from Mario Kart, which was only shown in the barest glimpse but appears to continue the LEGO Super Mario line of play-focused sets, LEGO has also revealed a number of new expansions to the ever-growing Super Mario range. These include The Bowser Express Train, Battle with Roy at Peach’s Castle and King Boo’s Haunted Mansion.
