Indie Game ‘Orwell’ Perfectly Captures Online Privacy Issues

Considering the hysteria surrounding the Australian Census at the moment, it seems fitting that Developer Osmotic Studios and indie label Surprise Attack Games have today revealed Orwell. Orwell is a narrative exploration game in which you must pry into the lives of citizens to find those responsible for a series of ideologically motivated terrorist attacks.

In the style of games such as Papers, Please and Her Story, Orwell raises some real questions about society in a way that only a game can. This includes the balance between security and freedom and what it means to trade privacy for online connection.

Orwell will release in late 2016 for PC.
