Last week we reported on what to expect from StarCraft’s anniversary event and this week, the event is officially live and packed to the rafters with exciting extras and freebies.
Beloved sci-fi RTS StarCraft II is celebrating its 10th anniversary and to commemorate the milestone, Blizzard has launched the biggest patch in the game’s history, providing updates to the Galaxy Map Editor as well as new campaign achievements, and new prestige talents for every co-op commander.
The celebration continues on Starcraft’s official YouTube Channel where you can watch StarCraft II’s War Chest Team League. The action-packed competition is bringing together some of the game’s very best players grouped into nine teams, each of which is captained by a pro-caster providing insider knowledge and elite-tier strategies.

Finally, Blizzard is offering an exclusive in-game reward to players that log in at any time between the 28th of July and the 10th of October. Participating players will unlock a new announcer, the protoss-playing mastermind White-Ra—for free!
