Alongside the announcement of its RTX 4080/RTX 4090 GPUs, Nvidia also announced that it was working with Valve to release a brand new version of Portal called Portal with RTX which is going to absolutely blow your mind in terms of visual delight.
The game will utilise DLSS 3.0, Reflex and also RTX remix to fully transform each level, enabling light to bounce and be affected by the scene’s geometry and materials. This is particularly gorgeous in a game like Portal where everything is reflective, the portals obviously can allow light to travel through (in real time).
Whilst you’l probably need DLSS 3 to take advantages of super high frame-rates (exclusive to the 4000 series), we’d expect this to run pretty well on all 3000 GPUs (to different degrees).
