Returnal’s PC Release Date And Features Have Been Revealed In A New Trailer

It looks fantastic!

After long being an open secret, Returnal was finally announced as coming to PC during last December’s The Game Awards.

Now, we finally have a release date for the PC port of Housemarque’s cosmic sci-fi roguelike shooter – and it’s not far off. Returnal comes to PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on February 15th (or Feb 16th for Aussies to account for timezones).

In a new trailer announcing the release date, the game’s PC-specific features are shown off including image reconstruction technologies like NVIDIA DLSS/NIS and AMD FSR, ultrawide support up to 32:9, ray-traced shadows and reflections and Dolby Atmos. Take a look at it below:

Returnal’s PC hardware requirements were also detailed in an accompanying PlayStation Blog post, with suggested spec from the bare minimum performance at 720p/60fps with the equivalent of an Intel i5 and NVIDIA GTX 1060 all the way up to 4K/60fps with ray-tracing enabled if you’re lucky enough to have your rig blessed by an Intel i9 and NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti equivalent. It definitely looks as though there’s quite a bit of flex in your Returnal PC experience along with the ability to push things quite far if you’re able.
