Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s PC Specs And Preloading Info Are Here

Get ready for that huge download!

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is nearly here, with the game launching next week on November 10th, and Activision has started rolling out updated info to get players on PC prepared for release day including what spec they’ll need their machines to be running and how early they’ll be able to preload and start playing.

A number of PC configuration recommendations have been made based on a few different use cases, starting with the bare minimum spec needed for a purely multiplayer experience, which is the lightest overall and asks players rock just an Intel Core i3-6100 or equivalent along with something around a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650, 8GB of RAM and 79GB of SSD storage. The overall minimum specs are nearly identical, only upping the CPU recommendation to an Intel Core i5-6600 or equivalent and asking for 149GB of SSD storage to accommodate the other modes.

If you want to play MW3 at 60FPS with visual options set around the “high” level you’ll need at least an Intel Core i7-6700K or equivalent along with at least a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 or something similar in capability along with 16GB of RAM. Increase that to a more modern Intel Core i7-8700K and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 combo if you want to play in 4K ultra settings or at a “competitive” high frame rate.

Here’s the full breakdown:
