The Sims 4’s Next Expansion Pack Will Let You Live The Dream Of Being A Tenant

Or even a slumlord! Or a witch?!

EA and Maxis have lifted the lid on the next major Sims 4 expansion pack, which will allow Sims to live out the tenant lifestyle and even let players fulfil their property ownership dreams and become a bonafide villain landlord.

The For Rent Expansion Pack will take players to the city of Tomarang, inspired by Southeast Asian culture and crafted in consultation with Asian-American rapper and social justice advocate Jason Chu. Aside from the bustling big city, Sims will also be able to visit lush botanical gardens, animal sanctuaries, night markets and places of spirituality.

One of the biggest changes comes with Residential Rentals, where Sims can become tenants in all manner of multi-family dwellings like apartment buildings and multi-resident rentals. Having numerous Sim families living on one lot, both in Tomarang and any other Sims 4 world, promises to create a whole new dynamic including community events like Potlucks and Pool Parties to make your Sims feel extra neighbourly.

Revel in the hustle and bustle of Tomarang, discover unique items at the Night Market, and come home to a new Residential Rental lot where your neighbors are closer than ever. You’ll run into them by the mailbox, socialize at potlucks, and maybe uncover their secrets with a little snooping. If you’re the property owner, make sure to keep that Unit Rating high! You don’t want a Tenant Revolt on your hands.
