No Man’s Sky refunds have been a hot topic over the last two weeks. After mixed reports of refunds across both Steam and the PlayStation Network, Sony and Steam have finally detailed the exact circumstances in which they’ll refund a purchase.
PlayStation’s UK customer support have spoken to IGN about what customers need to have experienced in order for them to process a refund. In order to get a refund from a PSN purchased copy, you’ll need to run through a number of trouble-shooting issues with a representative before the PlayStation investigation team decides whether or not your refund will be processed. As Hello Games release bug updates which will fix the major crashes and bugs, refunds are more than likely to become much less likely.
Initially, it was thought that Steam were offering refunds to almost anybody who purchased the game, but they’ve quickly updated the product listing page with an orange box stating that the standard Steam procedure applies. This means that they’ll only issue refunds for players who have played for less than 2 hours and owned the game for less than 2 weeks.
